This unit also has a solid cast aluminum blade mounting bracket with double pivot bearings for the blade axle which allows easier cutting action. This feature reduces strain on the user for repetitive tasks. The adjustable back-stop guide is easily released to re-align for alternate cutting sizes.
When using this unit, it is recommended to apply Trim-Ease directly to the cutting side of the blade surface (apply like a crayon) to reduce friction for full sheet sets and heavier material such as card-stock and cardboard. It further reduces wear and tear on the operator and stops "sticking" while putting force down on the lever handle.
