While the main unit itself can be used on a table top, the use of the optional floor stand is highly recommended as it provides the proper height for efficient operation during manual use. Combined with the lever style action of the main unit, the user can use the proper force when ripping through up to 700 sheets at a time. The solid metal stand includes a storage shelf which can be easily accessed from either side of the unit.
